This morning started with a little snow and rain mix and I thought of my sister who always says that this time of year it "rains green" as the falling moisture starts greening the grass and growing perennial flowers. Here at Open Studio Folk School it is raining creativity! The April classes have begun appearing on the website and class samples are moving into the window of the studio. We are growing opportunities for you to wake up your creativity!
In April you will be able to explore Tapestry Weaving, Beginning Sewing including making a blanket and burper set for babies, Card Making, Needle Felting Landscapes, an exploration of Watercolor Techniques and a beautiful stitching technique rooted in Japanese history - Temari.
We are working on expanding children's programming with classes on April 3 and 6, plus some Friday afternoon classes for kids age 8-12. If you are missing Story Time at the library, register for a "small child friendly" creativity experience. We have options for painting, clay and creative experimentation. Additionally, small group specialty classes and birthday parties can be scheduled.
Free stitching and craft times have been added to the weekly schedule. Bring your project and enjoy some conversation while you create. Free times are 10:00 am to noon and 7:00 to 9:00 pm every Monday.
It is raining creativity at Open Studio Folk School. New activities will be added to the schedule throughout the month, so check the website regularly. Come in and enjoy the fun!
