1860's Embroidered Ticking Clutch Purse

Class Description

Embroidered ticking projects from purses to shoes were popular in 1860's America as a departure from classic embroidery samplers. In session 1 and 2 you will learn 10 embroidery stitches and combination options to decorate the ticking background. Session 3 will be a finishing session to put the finishing touches on your purse. You don't need to know how to embroider - you will learn the stitches as you move through the project. If you are an experienced embroiderer challenge stitches will be introduced. Age: 16+ Skill Level: All Skill Levels - No special skills or experience needed Class Supply List: None – All necessary materials and tools will be provided. There is a $15 material fee due at the first session. Instructor: Anna Sapp
